Blue Mountain Beach

Blue Mountain Beach is regarded as one of the highest points along the Gulf of Mexico

Blue Mountain Beach is an elegant community in eastern Santa Rosa Beach. The neighborhood got its name from the native blue lupine flowers and the tall, "mountain"-high dunes. The dunes are some of the highest on the Gulf Coast.

The dwellings at Blue Mountain Beach include private condominiums such as the Adagio and Bella Vita. The Red Fish Village is a more modern condominium that retains the Blue Mountain Beach charm. Regardless of preference, this neighborhood offers accommodations ranging from beach cottages of the 1960s to more recently built cottages.

The community is conveniently located near quality stores and attractions. One such location is the Blue Mountain Creamery, which has been dubbed the best place to get a double dip. Health-savvy vacationers will enjoy For the Health of It, a health food store that carries organic groceries. The main attraction for many visitors is Gulf Place, located slightly west of the Blue Mountain Beach neighborhood. Gulf Place features expansive green lawns, boutiques, cafes, and excellent dining options. Vacationers with more of a taste for the outdoors will enjoy hiking in Point Washington State Forest or biking along the Timpocohee Trail.
