Seaside

Where New Urbanism was born and time seems to stand still

Seaside is a beach neighborhood populated by picturesque homes and neat picket fences. The community is a family-friendly environment that is fun and welcoming for all visitors. The town was developed to be an ideal small town in which residents can walk to and from stores and attractions.

Seaside was established in 1981 with the goal of being a beautiful and friendly small community. Those factors, among others, make Seaside a shining definition of New Urbanism.

Homes in Seaside come from a wide range of stylistic influences. Some of the designs present include Charleston, Victorian, Antebellum, and different Revival models.

Art and culture are just as welcome as the residents and visitors of Seaside. The town was once a major filming location for "The Truman Show". Every year, Seaside hosts a nationally-acclaimed fine arts festival, and the town also boasts an impressive outdoor amphitheater.

Seaside takes residents back in time and revives a small town sense in which residents can walk or ride bikes to get anywhere in town. Seeing people walking or cycling is a common sight rather than an exception. Overall, Seaside combines beauty, walkability, community, and culture to create the foundation for a better and friendlier town in which time seems to stand still.
